Story

I can't believe it's 20 years since I sat down with a blank piece of paper and thought, OK I'm going to start a charity for people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis! Fast forward to 2021 and NRAS now has over 30 staff and has an enviable reputation as a leading charity in the field of rheumatology both here and in Europe. My lovely family have taken on the #Dothe20Challenge and daughter-law-Laura has been running 20K a week and will be doing this till Christmas! Step-son Mark is cycling and I'm waiting to hear what other challenges will be taken up! I'm hoping granddaughter Alba will do 20 spellings a day for 20 days between now and Christmas! Our good friends Chris and Marion Bennett are also part of the Family team and have been walking 20K a week and will continue to do so until Christmas (which makes over 20 weeks!).

NRAS has been helping more people than ever during the pandemic and the team is working flat out to keep up with the demand for our services. We get no statutory funding at all and have to fundraise every penny we spend. Please dig deep and support us in this our 20th year - we really need all the help we can get so we can continue to provide support for more people living with RA and JIA.

A big thank you from us all.
