Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When my mother was diagnosed with MS i did not know what or how to deal with such a life changing circumstances, it was a family commitment, my mother was so independent, and to explain to her she needed extra help was difficult.
Thanks to MS she received the support she needed while she was still able to walk, sadly over time she got worse and eventually we had to seek a care home that was suitable for her, like most families this was hard, as there is limited spaces available especially with good care homes.
Now its my turn to help MS , Its a growing crisis and with your help we can do something about it and help families with the same symptoms and support.
My ambition is to raise £500 to give someone a short break they deserve, the more the better.
Donating
£5: could help pay for laboratory essentials such as petri dishes, latex gloves and microscope slides. It seems a small amount to ask for, but these things are essential to scientists work in stopping MS.
£50 : could pay for 10 calls to the helpline, so they can be there for people when they need them the most.
£500 : could provide a short break grant for someone with MS to enjoy quality time away and a chance to relax without worries.
I am being ambitious here;
£1000: could run an MRI scanner for four hours providing detailed images of the brain that helps to understand MS.
I am being VERY ambitious here;
£2000 : could pay for 40 days of the online forum, a place for people with MS , their friends, and their family to connect.
