Blossom Training and development are bringing communities together to help families in fuel poverty. We will be running various fundraising events and activities including collaborating with Ackworth Girls and Featherstone football academies to have fun together whilst supporting our local community to help keep families in fuel poverty stay warm this winter. 

We are also organising other various events from our blossom training and development self defence day course to nights in all of which bring people together promote positivity and raise vital funds whilst having fun.

Each year the Community Foundation raises money for fuel poverty and this year we are encouraging businesses to get involved through Challenge 25. In the Wakefield District there are hundreds of people who are still living in fuel poverty and with fuel prices going up and Universal Credit going down, it is more important than ever that they get the help they need.We need to raise as many multiples of £25 as possible (the average cost of a winter fuel grant) to help individuals and families that are in crisis pay their fuel bills.
