Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to run the half marathon a year ago whilst watching the finishers of the EMF 2012 cross the line and thought 'I want to do that'. So here I am, one year later. I've been training hard by doing a number of races - as you will see from my photo. I recently finished the Kilomathon 13.1km race, and got a new personal best.
Whilst training, I knew I would need something important to keep me going, especially when I hit the runners wall. Something to get myself across the finish line; so I am running this race in memory of my Grandpa who sadly passed away 15 years ago. He suffered from Parkinsons Disease. I only have one memory of him where he is not suffering from this dreadful disease and its something I hold onto. I miss him every day and if I can raise at least £400 I hope that it will help research and find new drugs to aid those suffering from Parkinsons Disease.
My goal is to finish the race in 2 hours!!
Thank you very much for your donation and your support. If you're in Edinburgh on the day - I'll see you at the finish line =)
