Story
Hi Everyone,
Over the next few months I will take part in lots of different sporting activities, to help raise money for Contact a Family.
Contact a Family offer information, support and advice to families who have disabled children and children with health conditions. They run parent support groups, workshops, social activities and outings for disabled children. They also offer advice and information for parents whose children have Special Educational Needs. CAF do a fantastic job and make a real difference to families.
I will be running and cycling in different events such as the London Triathlon Kids Duathlon, Wiggle Cobblers Classic Sportive (60 miles), Morrisons Junior Great Manchester Run (2 miles), Bupa Westminster Mile Run U11s Boys Championship and Ride IT Cheshire Sportive (82 miles) and hopefully more. So far I have completed the Wiggle Devil’s Punch Sportive (51 miles), my first ever sportive & very hard !, Ride IT Leicester Sportive (50 miles), Ordnance Survey Haymarket Nut Cracker Sportive (37 miles) and Ordnance Survey Colchester Equalizer Sportive (39 miles). It has been quite challenging completing these Sportives and on some occasions the weather has been very wet, windy and cold.
I would also like to set myself a goal of getting a new Parkrun 5k Personal Best time of 21:42 by the end of June 2015. (my current PB is 22:19)
I thought that it would be a great idea to take part in all these events, but also to try and raise money for charity as well !
