Thanks for taking the time to visit the Blackhall Playgroup Marathon Relay Team JustGiving page. We have 4 local mums running in the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 27th May, they are Susan Ewing, Angela Byrne, Sarndra Arnott and Janet Halton.

The playgroup is a registered charity and a community based, parent run organisation that forms an integral part of the local community. It allows for social interaction of children in a structured environment with a strong emphasis on confidence building of the children in addition to striving to engender a strong sense of social responsibility in children from an early age. It provides excellent care for the children, through loyal and supporting staff and parents, and typical activities include arts and crafts, story reading, music and dance, child orientated gymnastics and reading.

The resources that the playgroup has available are limited, and many are in need of renewal/ replacement. The social and practical skills that the children gain from use of the available equipment and resources are invaluable.
