Story

Thanks everyone.  We walked 20.3 miles!

I will seek match funding from Pega.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When I heard it costs around £45,000 per year per prisoner and about prisoners being locked in their rooms for 23 hours a day, seven days a week during the pandemic and considering there are prisoners in their twenties who are serving time (and having seen recently in the media how even for celebrities a few seconds of anger can change lives); knowing how difficult yet important rehabilitation is and knowing people who already support this charity as volunteers, I decided to do something to raise some funds to help.  This fundraising will cover financial support for parents and siblings, to travel from far away, to the remote location of the prison to visit with their sons and brothers and raising budget for a 5 a side football MUGA pitch to be built at the prison, to help with prisoners' mental and physical health, to aid their rehabilitation and reduce the likelihood of re-offending upon release!

The walk is from Burbage to Broad Hinton and back again, about 15-20 miles
