Hi Everyone, 

On Sunday 7 April 2024, I will be running in the London Landmarks Half-marathon! The 13.1 mile route goes past iconic landmarks including Big Ben St Paul’s. Last year's event had 17,000 runners, 450 charities, 800 volunteers, and 50,000 spectators!

I’m running because Ashinaga’s work means a lot to me. Orphaned youth are much more likely to struggle in education and miss out on opportunities because of financial problems, emotional trauma, or needing to look after family members. Each year, Ashinaga supports 10,000 orphaned youth around the world, providing access to education, emotional care, and leadership development. This support enables young people to overcome life’s challenges and reach their full potential.

The funds I raise will be used for the Ashinaga Africa Initiative, a leadership development programme that cultivates tomorrow's leaders from today's most disadvantaged. Talented orphaned youth are recruited from 49 African countries, enabling them to complete undergraduate degrees at top universities in the UK and around the world, before returning to Africa to improve their home communities.
