On the 2nd October this year I will be running the London marathon in memory of my beautiful Mum. Just 2 days later on the 4th October it will be 20 years since she sadly passed away from bowel cancer, just over 2 weeks before what would have been her 40th birthday on the 29th October, meaning this year would have been her 60th. So when I found out the marathon was so close to her anniversary and her birthday, I decided it would be amazing if I was able to run it in her memory and hopefully be able to raise some money for an amazing charity to help towards fighting this horrible illness, which I'm sure has affected most people in one way or another. 

It's going to be a long 6 months of training, especially as most of you will know, I'm not exactly in the best shape at the time of writing this! Lol but I promise you, come the 2nd October, I will be in the best shape I've ever been in, and not only will I just complete the marathon, but will do so in a time that myself, my family and friends and most importantly my Mum, would be proud of.
