The fight against COVID-19 is real, and one which is indiscriminately hurting people, families and communities across the world. The area in which we live, Stockton-on-Tees, is affected just like anywhere else.

When the UK went in to lockdown, Patrick decided to shave off his beard which he has had for years, and try to grow a moustache in full knowledge that he’d probably make himself look really silly. So he started. And he does look really, really silly. Patrick soon roped in friends Sean and John, who have also made themselves look ridiculous. But hey, it’s giving us something to concentrate on and giving our friends and families a laugh at our expense. 

A few people have suggested that we should try and raise some money in the process for our NHS - we agree, and where better to start than our local NHS trust - North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. We know that every penny raised at this time will help in the fight against COVID-19, whether it is spent on PPE, ventilators, equipment or staff welfare. 

This is our way of saying thank you to our NHS, and to the amazing people that make it tick day in, day out.
