Story
The Grand Lodge of Scotland is hoping to reach the sum of £1m donated to their current nominated charity ‘Prostate Scotland’.
It is hoped that this sum can be reached by the time of Grand Lodge Installation Ceremony and Festival of Saint Andrew on Thursday, 24 November 2022.
To help reach this figure a proposed Charity Zip slide in support of Prostate Scotland is being arranged, taking place on FRIDAY 16 September 2022 at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow. There are 26 places available to take place in the zip slide and it is hoped that 26 of the 32 provinces will participate, with the Provincial Grand Master or representative doing the slide.
As Provincial Grand Master of Fife and Kinross I am taking part and would appreciate any donations, so that this province can make a sizeable contribution to this very worthwhile charity.
By zipsliding over the Clyde I'll be fundraising in aid of Prostate Scotland as part of the Grand Lodge of Scotland's, Make it a Million Campaign.Prostate Scotland aims to inform, support, campaign and advance on prostate disease in Scotland. The charity raises awareness and provides information about prostate cancer and disease and its treatments. They also promote research and treatment developments on prostate issues across Scotland.www.prostatescotland.org.ukInfo@prostatescotland.org.ukProstate Scotland registered charity number SC037494
