Story
(I've been corrected that "Cheerio" actually means "good-bye". Thanks Siobahn!!!! So instead....)
Howdy,
I'm running in the London Marathon in April and am raising money for a great cause called the PSP Association. PSP stands for "Progressive Supranuclear Palsy" and I think of it as Parkinson's on crack. My grandfather had it and sadly, it robbed him of his motorskills, leaving him trapped in his own body until he died as a result of it. Little is known about the disease and there is no treatment. I could have gone with a more "popular" cause but this one actually means something to me.
If you wouldn't mind sponsoring me, I would greatly appreciate it. This website, JustGiving, makes it pretty easy. The only thing goofy for most of you is that the donation is £ (Pounds) and not $. But your credit card will work. All you really need to know is:
£10 will be about $16 and $17. (And for my non-Brit sponsors, don't worry about the GiftAid)
Here are some more details:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks,
Bill
