Story

Bilfinger Salamis UK are taking part in ANCHOR Wipeout on Saturday, August 24 in Hazlehead Park.

Our teams will try to make their way across a series of inflatable obstacles, covered in water, while completing a number of teamwork challenges.

Friends of Anchor brings together experts and specialist nursing support to coordinate the care of patients with all forms of cancer, leukaemia and benign blood disorders such as haemophilia at The Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiography (ANCHOR) unit at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Friends of ANCHOR funds the purchase of non-NHS provided equipment for the ANCHOR unit and aims to provide additional care, comfort and support for ANCHOR patients. The charity also funds vital ground breaking cancer research projects at the University of Aberdeen Institute of Medical Science, Foresterhill

Please donate whatever you can to help us help Friends of Anchor.

Thank you.

We support people in the north of Scotland who are affected by cancer or a blood disorder. Working hand-in-glove with the NHS, we take care of the ‘big little things’, and we fund cutting-edge equipment and research. Every penny makes an impact as our operating costs are covered by Balmoral Group.
