THE HEAD OF THE BRITISH ARMY’S INFANTRY TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND - THE SOLDIERS’ CHARITY 

One of the most senior officers in the British Army is about to undertake a motorcycle ride around Britain to raise money for the Army Benevolent Fund – THE SOLDIERS’ CHARITY (ABF), and to highlight the work done to support Infantry soldiers, both during and after their service.

From 1 to 10 October, Brigadier Richard Dennis OBE ADC will stop at many of the 17 Regimental Head Quarter’s (RHQs) and the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire, where he will take part in the annual Service of Remembrance. At each RHQ he will meet some of those soldiers and families who have been supported by the Fund and will highlight the vital role the headquarters play in recruiting, distributing benevolence, organising the repatriation of the Infantry’s dead, the long term care of their wounded and, critically, providing help with finding a second career when they leave the Army.
