Story
The staff from the Bike Right! West Midlands office will be taking part in the 7 in seven bike ride, riding 30 miles from Coventry to Birmingham, on the last leg of the 700 mile ride from Zurich, to help celebrate the life of this remarkable young man and to help carry on the work of the charity and raise as much money as possible for Help Harry Help Others.
BikeRight! was established in Manchester in 2000 and has grown into a successful, thriving cycling development business. Every year we train about 20,000 people making us the largest cycle training organisation in the UK.
In the West Midlands, we are delivering the cycling element of the Smart Choices, Smarter Network project which is funded by the Local Sustainable Transport Fund. Smart Network, Smarter Choices is a project aimed at increasing sustainable travel amongst over 16 year olds who live, work, study or use a station in the West Midlands. Individuals, companies, schools, colleges and community organisations can benefit so there really is something for everyone.
We are keen to increase cycling in the West Midlands. Some of us are passionate cyclists, with proper racing bikes or mountain bikes, others simply use a normal bike to get from A to B quickly and cheaply. We all like to see more people travelling sustainably and particularly using bikes to get around the city, and to take part in big cycling events like this charity ride.
Remember to come out and support us and help us to celebrate the end of this mammoth ride with all of the other participants! You can also help this worthy cause by lining the route or donating money. If you do see us, cheer us as loudly as possible!! We will be wearing BikeRight! Jerseys. Come and see us and encourage us (we need it!), or better yet, come and join the ride yourself – we can train you to ride a bike if you don’t know how, in time to support this event and to help Harry help others.
