Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My mother sadly but mercifully for her passed away 6 yrs ago. There were times we fell out and at one point we never spoke for 3 yrs but it never stopped me loving her because no matter what, you only ever get one mum. She moved to Canada for 20yrs but retired and came back to her home town to live, however both my sister and I noticed strange things with her like forgetting things and at one point she forgot she had broken her arm and cut the plaster cast off several times with scissors. As things gradually got worse she needed 24hr care and was placed in a home due to being a danger to herself and others. Over the course of 10yrs we watched this smart, intelligent woman turn into a babbling shell who had forgotten how to wash, dress herself, read and write and someone who didn't recognise any of her children or family.
I have never done a charity walk before but for some reason i want to do one now, maybe because of recent events in my life has made me see things differently, i don't know all i do know is i want to help in some small way.
I know budgets are tight but i ask you if you could spare a little cash to help find a cure or to help families who are going through a nightmare journey as we did, it would be most appreciated.
