Our daughter has diplegic cerebral palsy which affects her legs.
In 2016 we were told Betsi was a candidate for a life changing operation called SDR.
By having this operation Betsi would have a chance of walking independently and it would reduce the spasticity within her body that was holding her back. The nerves that were affected would be cut and then Betsi could begin to re-train her brain to try and walk.
We were very successful with the fundraising and Betsi underwent the operation in 2017.
The money raised has paid for the surgery and currently pays for prolonged intensive post op physiotherapy rehab.
Money will also be used for any housing adaptations needed to help make our home more accessible and equipment and building works to build a mini home gym for Betsi to complete her physiotherapy in.
We will be fundraising through Tree of Hope, a registered charity (no.1043092)
Tree of Hope will securely hold all of Betsi's funds and pay for all invoices directly.
If you would like any further information or would like to join us with the fundraising, please don't hesitate to contact me via my email: s.barlow80@googlemail.com
