Story
Back in July 2017 I lost my beautiful Mum to cancer, and whilst research and treatments couldn't save her, the amazing Sue Ryder Hospice in Cheltenham gave my family and I a perfect setting in which my mum was comfortable and looked after, and we could say goodbye without having to worry about a single thing. When I learnt it was all through charity it astonished me and I felt an overwhelming gratitude to a bunch of strangers who had at some point given money to this amazing cause which meant that we could spend the last moments with my mum in relative peace. It's been a tough few years but I have never forgotten what they did for us, and now I think it is time to give back.
I can hear my mum now saying "well you've already done a half marathon so how about a full one this time" and to that I say, "feck off". My arse cheeks have still not fully recovered from the chaffing of the last time, and clench when I even consider starting training again, so I hope that is enough motivation for you guys to give just a small amount of money to this fantastic cause.
Thanks in advance :)
