I am running the Great North Run for the first time on Sunday September 18th. I am running this in memory of Verna Mather my Granny who recently passed away due to a terminal illness.

I have decided to run for two independant charities my local Hospice Nightingale House and also the Redesdale Court Care Home Hospice who cared for my Granny in her last days. Both of whom do amazing work providing care and support  to all thier patients and families.  These indepandant charities really need the support and money to carry on performing the wonderfull work they do.

Nightingale House:

Provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
