We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Put this date in your diaries 7th August 2011 - Mount Field Llanfair Caereinion SY21 0BH

We recently felt the pain of losing close family members to cancer when my father in law lost his brave battle with oesophagus cancer aged just 54, and my mother was taken suddenly by lung cancer just  4 weeks later.

Both loved their families very much and appreciated the community that they had lived in all their lives. My mum Berys, was involved in football in Llanfair since her dad Eddie Whiffen was manager more than 50 years ago. She has been manger of the juniors, secretary and treasurer over a 20 year period, a position that i have now taken over.

Gareth Davies (Gats) also loved his football and his sons played for the junior sides and he was also involved in all aspects of community life like the carnival and show days.

This community spirit and passion to work with youngsters inspired us to do the football tournament for under 10's and also get the family involved in what will be a great day out. We will have food stalls, bouncy castles, chipping competions, face painting, sumo wrestling and lots more.

So please dig deep and donate now.
