We decided to run this marathon as a once in a lifetime challenge just to prove that we could ..at our age! So many people have asked 'who are you running it for' and offered to contribute so that has motivated us more and we realised it would be a shame to miss the opportunity to raise awareness and funds.

Most families will be touched by dementia and it needs to be discussed openly and more support given so it doesn't tear families apart.
