Áine is a 12year Old girl who attendsOur Lady’s Children’s Hospital for her seizures. On one of Áine’s appointments she met some of the children from St Johns Ward. Áine decided she wanted to help these children in some way. She decided she would cut her hair & donate it to make wigs for children who have lost their hair through chemotherapy or alopecia. She also thought why not raise much needed funds for the families of the children of St Johns Ward and so we got in touch with Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. 

Aoibheann’s Pink Tie help and offer practical support to the families of children diagnosed with cancer and who are attending St John’s Oncology Ward in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital. Focused on children attending the only treatment center for childhood cancer in Ireland, they support the complete family unit, of parents and siblings, who may not understand what is happening to their Brother or Sister.

Áine will cut her hair the end of March. Any donations are greatly received, no matter how little. Thank you x
