Event: UWCB Southampton 16th March 2024, on 16 March 2024
We support those homeless or in addiction to bring hope to broken lives

Story

I’ve decide to compete in a White Coller Charity Boxing Match. And raise awareness of a great local charity whilst entertaining an audience and truly test myself physically and mentally at a different sport.

To those that know my background will have seen my competitive nature and lust for being combative within my football and rugby days before age and an injury to my knee which ultimately forced a change towards my direction in standards within football.

I have managed to overcome 2 big setbacks regarding my knee injury that had completely ruptured all ligaments to my right knee by self rehabilitation and to specialists surprise the muscles have adapted and built an irregular connection to support a bond between my thigh and calf muscles. Which resulted in a huge loss of pace but maintaining power and thankfully enabling me to have strength and control once again.

After the second occasion which made me decide to hang up my boots and go into management of a local football team I completed a 5k Gladiator race, winning my heat of 15 competitors.

I gradually got sucked back into player/managing for my team before the pull was too much and set out to fully playing again.

After 3 full seasons without any concerns regarding the high risk to my knee I’ve decided to take on the opportunity to box at an amateur event to reap the rewards of discipline and training which results in a true test of a genuine 1v1 fight in the ring!

So it would mean the world to me for your support in sponsorship and attendance if possible.

Date: 16/03/24

Location: Switch Nightclub, Southampton

Once all the logistics are ironed out and tickets are available if you areable to get tickets and Support me or purely get enjoyment at the potential opportunity someone gives my head a wobble on the night, would mean a lot (for my ego mainly!)

But on a more important level any size contribution towards sponsoring me which goes directly to a Salisbury based charity which primarily provides support for the sadly unfortunate souls that are Homeless and understandably fighting poor mental health before spiralling even deeper down a torturous steep slope to rock bottom.

My Minimum target is £50 but I know for fact I’ve got plenty of people connected to me one way or another just on social media to realistically blow the ceiling way beyond the £50 mark.

But truthfully any amount contributed to my Go Fund Me page goes towards the right direction for them.

The Charity I’ve chosen to
fundraisefor Morning Star Salisbury.

About the charity

We are a small faith-based charity in Salisbury seeking to support those who are rough sleeping and those who are struggling with addiction. Whilst our activities are based on our Christian faith, we will support people irrespective of their beliefs. We provide some outreach to those rough sleeping alongside other agencies in the City. We run trauma informed Life Recovery Courses three times a year , provide one to one support and whatever help is needed to enable people to thrive. We seek to walk alongside those who are battered by the storms of life (often having experienced trauma), reminding them that they are of value and that the storm will pass. We want people to get free and stay free and are committed to supporting them on their journey. We consider it an honour to be able to serve our city and help those who are struggling. We also encourage others to see those who are homeless and struggling with addictions and other life issues, as people like you and I but who have lost their way due to their life’s circumstances. We believe everyone has the ability to turn their lives around when given the right opportunity.
