Catherine's story Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC)

Who am I raising money for? (Catherine's own words) LINC have been the extra shoulder for me to lean on that I only wish everyone with cancer could have. The medical staff worked so hard to get rid of my disease, although treating me as a person wasn't really something they knew how to do. LINC funded a psychologist to visit me and other patients on the ward, who were receiving treatment and in isolation for 4-6 weeks at a time. They were so much more than a charity...they were my sanity! By sponsoring Ben, you'll be helping to fund more time for the psychologist to support patients and their families coping with leukaemia. Doing my bit to raise money!  This year I will be taking part in three Ironman distance events (IM Lanzarote, Norseman and IM World Championships) to raise money for LINC. An Ironman Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) consisting of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bike and a marathon (26.2 miles  42.195 km) run, raced in that order, without a break, within 17 hours.
