Thank you for visiting my page.
Four years ago, our Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease - a disease that kills nerve cells in the brain, eating away at the mind, body and the ability to live a normal life. It is one of the most powerful and destructive diseases I've had the misfortune of witnessing. It isn't just the trembling hands or shaking legs; it reduces brain function, causes memory loss, insomnia, hallucinations, anxiety and depression. It reduces then completely removes your ability to work, to walk, to stand, dress yourself, feed yourself, play with your grand-children, talk, interact and ultimately even swallow your food.
There are approximately 70,000 Australians living with these symptoms today. It currently has no cure.
To find one, research needs more funding. Which is why my sister and I are running the London Marathon this year, to raise funds for Parkinson's UK - one of the world's leading Parkinson's charities that is 100% committed to researching and preventing PD. I am requesting that every pound, dollar, penny and cent we raise will be directed specifically into research - so you can be sure that your donation will help find a cure for everyone - in the UK, in Australia, and around the world.
Please make a donation to support us and help find a cure. Thanks.
