Story
First of all i'd like to apologise for any silly spelling mistakes and errors i have made in this story.
At the end of July i will be shaving my hair off (all of it) for charity and i will be filming it for everyone to watch on YouTube. The charity i have chosen is close to my heart and if you could take some time to read why i would like you to donate to this cause i would be very thankful.
Earlier this year on the 30th of April Jill Skinner my Nan passed away due to cancer. Not only was Jill a Grandparent to her many grandchildren who she always treated with affection and good old fashioned discipline, Jill was also a caring Mother and a loving Wife to her husband Vincent. Jill was always there for someone in need. She adopted my Mum taking the huge responsibility of looking after and raising a fostered child as well as several of her own. Jill taught her Grandchildren the wrongs and rights of life and that if you dont try you wont get anywhere. She would push us when we had given up on ourselfs and im proud to call her my Nan.
A few years ago Jill was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and after treatment seem to have recovered but unfortunatley this was short lasted as she was re-diagnosed with an even worse uncurable type the doctors telling her that she'd be lucky to make it to christmas. If you ever meet someone who knew Jill they would say how she is such a strong hearted person and how she will never give up on anything. Jill beat the doctors deadline and not by months, by two years just showing everyone that we should never give up on life.
During 2011 Jill became very ill and was always in and out of St Michaels Hospice in Harrogate. The volunteers and staff at St Michaels looked after my Nan for the time she was there and was there to comfort her family and friends who were also feeling the strain of watching a loved one slowly leave them.
Mid-afternoon on the 30th of April 2011 my Nan passed away with family at her bed side. It was hard for everyone to watch such a loved member of the family leave us but i cant thank the staff at St Michaels Hospice enough for what they did to care for my Nan and comfort her friends and family.
St Michaels Hospice is a free service for any terminally ill people to help give them a better end to life than a hospital bed. The Hospice is only funded by donations so to keep this service going please could you donate towards the cause.
Thank you so much. Your donation means the world to me and i hope you will enjoy watching me become a "slap head" some time soon.
