Story
As some of you may or may not know, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer towards the end of 2012. Although many of my generation are familiar with the message that you should check yourself, many of us are not in the habit of actually doing it. Luckily for me, I heard a podcast from BBC 5Live of Richard Bacon featuring the footballer, John Hartson, highlighting the importance of checking your testicles and making sure you go to the doctors if you find something. This reminded me to check regularly and just over one month later I found something.
Thanks to John's efforts I was able to catch the cancer early and avoid the horrors experienced by many.
I know that a half marathon is not as long as many people run but it will be the furthest for me (and also not very enjoyable...) so please spare any money you can for this good cause.
