Toybox - changing the world for street children. Our vision is of a just world with no street children. Our mission is to end the injustice of children living and working on the streets.

Story

A wise man once said:"The human spirit can overcome anything."

That man had obviously never run a triathlon.

We are all running in our first ever triathlon, which is sometimes described as "like a marathon but more difficult and impressive".

The distances are a 400 metre swim, followed by a 20km bike ride and ending off with a nice 5km run.

We're doing it for Toybox - a fantastic charity.

Toybox works to help street children in Latin America - these children are the forgotten children, trapped in poverty and surviving on whatever they can beg or steal during the day. Far too often these children find themselves trapped in a vicious cycle of drug addiction and gang membership.

But Toybox, working with local communities, is bringing hope and change to these children. Prevention projects offer children a refuge from violent homes and give them an option other than running away to the street. Toybox street teams consisting of networks of trained volunteers are out on dangerous streets trying to show street children that there is a life for them off the street. Toybox are also campaigning throughout Latin America to change the way street children are treated - bringing about long term change.

Just £22 could fund an entire street team for a day, please sponsor us and help us change the world for street children!

Thanks!
