7 years ago my little boy Toby died aged only 21 months old

Myself and my wife were lost, alone and struggling.....

SSAFA arrived like a knight in shining armour, they helped us so much, gave us counselling and help us pay for our little Toby's funeral.

I want to give something back to them, to say thank you and god forbid it, if someone else happens to be in our position and having to pay for there child's funeral....well the money will be there to help.

I have decided to bike the coast to coast....and back again....312 miles with my brother Matthew

I will be setting off on my 2017 challenge - cycling the 312 mile epic coast to coast and back again across the Pennines, lakes, dales, nipping into Scotland and back carrying all of my equipment on my bike. With my bike load averaging 20 kilos and a total ascent of 6,970 metres (Everest is only 8,848 metres!) this unsupported cycle ride will test my endurance, skill, sense of humour and bottom!

The cycle commences in early Summer and i will be posting regular updates on training, fund raising and my route schedule
