Story
From Monday for 7 days, Vicki and I will be trying to raise much needed funds for the Jinja education trust (JET) by cycling 787km across Uganda (virtually for about 4 hours a day between us).
In these difficult times the price of lockdown has hit uganda harder than most. There is no universal health care or social support available to a lot of families. Our teachers aren’t able to work to earn a living and the children aren’t able to get their education and, in some cases, the only hot meal a day they would get.
JET are supporting our school communities as best we can but we really need all the help we can get.
We understand this is a tough time for many of you and are hugely grateful for anything you can spare for a cause that means a lot to us.
100% of your donations go to Uganda and will be matched to provide double the benefit.
£1 buys a child a home school study pack
£3 buys a child nutritional porridge for a month
£10 provides seeds to grow a person their own food for 6 weeks (pocho and beans)
£20 enables us to install a handwashing station with soap
Thank you
Ben and Vicki
