We raise awareness of AIDS through cricket to strengthen communities and fight disease

Story

Hi Everyone

As some of you may already know I am going to Botswana in the second half of April to do some voluntary charity work for Cricket Without Boundaries (http://www.cricketwithoutboundaries.com). The charity tries to highlight awareness of HIV/AIDS to children and teenagers who are most at risk. This done through cricket coaching and encouraging enjoyment through participation in the sport. The charity also aims to improve local communities through cricket by providing them with a solid infrastructure and teaching local teachers and volunteers to become successful coaches to continue the spread of the sport.

I will be paying my own way travel and living expenses but we still need funds to pay for  sports equipment for the local communities in Botswana and all donated money will go towards this. I would be immensely grateful for any donations no matter how small.

The game of cricket has been very good to me and I would love to be able to help give others the chances that I have been luck enough to have had.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

About the charity

Cricket Without Boundaries is dedicated to helping, educating and developing local communities around the world through the spread and growth of cricket. Crucially, CWB also uses cricket as a tool in the fight against AIDS. CWB’s training sessions have at their heart discussion about the disease in terms of prevention, treatment and equality of treatment for those with and without the disease.
