Story
Hello Everybody, thanks for looking at our page.
Well currently the jury is out on whether this voyage is wholly based on stupidity, foolhardiness or bravery. We'd like to think it's a little of all, although I fear it's just the first two. That being said, we've decided to cycle from John O Groats, the northern most tip of mainland Scotland down to Lands End at the most southerly point of England.
The trip is going to take 11 days, cover just over 1000miles, and probably break the pair of us. The first day of riding will start on Sunday the 7th of August and we'll be finishing on Wednesday the 17th, tired but happy. The plan is to cycle between 80 and 100 miles a day fuelled on fruit cake, pasta and the wares of any food based shop we stumble upon. This is going to be quite a challenge due to the 4000 plus calories we'll be burning each day.
Training started with a vengeance about three months ago and it still going strong. Relentless, backside punishing, leg aching cycles around Richmond Park in West London along with commuting by bike to and from work.
As for the good cause, we decided to raise money for a local Children's charity in Sutton. They do great work in building on communities and getting kids involved. If you'd like to find out more please visit their website on the address below:

Any donation that you can make would be very much appreciated.
