Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been chosen to volunteer with International service in Ghana on an International citizenship service placement. International Citizenship Service, aka ICS, gives young people aged 18-25 in the UK a chance to volunteer in developing countries and contribute to the battle against poverty. ICS aims to make young people from the UK passionate about community development. The first stage of my placement will be fundraising and reaching a target of £1,500 to go towards the work of International service and other ICS partners, and will ensure that young people in the UK can continue to participate in volunteering placements in the developing world.
The agency I am working with, International service, aims to empower women, children, young people and disabled people to access their rights in developing countries - This aim sums up what I will be doing on my placement. I am taking part in this placement because I feel passionately about creating equality around the world, and I share the aims of International service. To be able to volunteer in Ghana and work upon the topics I feel passionately about would mean a lot to me.
I would be incredibly grateful for contributions to this JustGiving page, as any contribution will make a big difference to the lives of people in developing countries.
Thank you for your support!
