We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be spending 4 days in the saddle, cycling 315 miles from capital to capital. Our journey begins in London and ends in Paris.

I have been training since July 2022; cycling most mornings and longer distances at weekends.

I am raising money for Alzheimer's Research UK to help find a cure for diseases that cause dementia.

My Grandma has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and my late Father in Law was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus dementia so this is why it is so close to my heart

Dementia is not something that just happens to everyone as they get older.  It is caused by different diseases.

Most people with dementia have Alzheimer’s disease or Vascular dementia but there are other types too

These diseases affect different parts of the brain, so they affect people in different ways.

At the moment we don’t know why one person may get one of these diseases while another person may not. Doctors and Scientists are working hard to find out more about dementia.

Every donation counts to help find a cure so anything you can donate would be amazing

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

THANK YOU for reading my story

Kind Regards

Ben
