Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am currently in my second year of College at King Edward VI College, Stourbridge and in my spare time I volunteer at Acorns Children's Hospice in Worcester. Seeing the great work they do there and the family-like atmosphere they create made me want to give more than just befriending the children. That's why, over the summer I am going to try and climb what is considered the highest freestanding mountain in the world, Mount Kilimanjaro (If Chris Moyles can do it, how hard can it be?).
From what I remember, the hospice in Worcester was aiming to save up for a new mini-van to be able to take the children on trips around the area as at the moment they can just about make it to Tesco and back. There is a photo on this page explaining how else your money will go to help terminally ill children at Acorns.
Nobody is more deserving of your selfless donation than children who simply want to enjoy the time that they have left as we have all had the luxury to be able to do. That is why I am undertaking this enormous challenge and would love it if you could click the donate button to give me that little extra push along my 5,000 metre journey.
It is also possible to donate by text by sending BENB96 £? to 70070 and replacing the ? with how much you want to donate. You can donate 1,2,3,4,5 or 10 pounds and no matter what amount you choose, it will help immensely with the amazing work acorns do!
Also, I am more than happy to accept sponsorship from companies if they want me to wear their logo/product while I'm on my climb and if you would like to enquire about sponsorship my email is ben.boleyn@sky.com
