Story
Today, nine people will lose their lives or suffer serious injury because of landmines, unexploded bombs and other weapons. Almost half will be children.
MAG finds and destroys landmines and other unexploded weapons to clear land for people affected by conflict, so they can go about their daily lives free from danger and fear. MAG’s work has benefited nearly 15 million people, helping them to re-establish their livelihoods and improve their families lives. Above all, it gives people a future free from the fear of death and injury to them and their children.
In February 2016 Ruth and Belle will be joining a team of friends and colleagues to cycle 430k across Sri Lanka to raise money for the fantastic MAG charity. Training has begun and we are looking forward to the challenge and to raise as much as we can for this great cause.
Thanks in advance,
Belle & Ruth
