A few (v kind) people have asked what I would like for a birthday present. The honest answer is that I am unbelievably spoilt already and don’t need any presents. However, this has been a terrible year for children all over the world - not just because of COVID but, also, the situations in both Afghanistan and Ethiopia are properly appalling.

I would really, really like for you to give them a donation in lieu of a present for me. I propose to match your donations with a gift of my own to Save. I promise that I won’t write you another begging letter this year…so please be as generous as you have been before (or even more if you can).

I am sorry if the total I am aiming for seems preposterously high but 50 seems like a recurring theme in my life right now.
