Story
Hi everyone, I will be running in the London Marathon 2018. I know this is early but I want to raise as much money as I can for St Ann's Hospice. By crossing the finishing line I know I will make a real difference to the patients and loved ones ❤️
I have lost my Mum, father-in law, Aunt, Uncle and Both Grandparents to Cancer. My Mum, father-in -law Kevin and Aunty Sandra were patients at St Anns. My family and friends have had relatives at St Ann's. I know the staff do a fantastic job. Seeing what they have to do on a daily basis amazes me. The care the staff provided for us as a family was second to none. I remember seeing mum walking into st Anns from day care and she had the biggest smile on her face. To me not knowing that we would lose mum the day after 😢.
I lost my mum 4 months before my wedding and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with.😢 The staff in the day care unit made my Mum very happy and It will be a memory I will cherish forever. ❤️
When my father-in-law was in St Anns a member of staff asked my mother -in-law if she wanted a head message for respite. It was so hard to visit St Anns to see my father-in-law, then to finally sit in the family room pained me. The staff and support was amazing, I admire so much what the staff do.
St Ann's needs to rely so much on charitable donations. That's why I chose to start fundraising for them to help others who may need their help and support in the future.
Fitting in training around work and family can be difficult. My husband and daughter deserve a medal for putting up with me and my rigorous training plan 😂. I am training hard trying to run at least 5 times a week and joined the British Military Fitness to keep my fitness levels up. I know with hard work and determination it will all be worth it. I find whilst running that I think of my Mum, which spurs me on and gets me to the finishing line.
I know that anything I raise will really make a difference. Any support will be appreciated. I will work hard to achieve my goal. This is for you Mum, Kevin, Anunty Sandra, Uncle Harold, Nana, Gran and my dear friend Michelle and all my friends, family and anyone that have been touched by the 'c' word. Thanks Belinda 👍🏻Xx 😘
