In January 2020, blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia began funding the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network which comprises 12 specialist research nurses at blood cancer centres across the UK and a facilitatory Hub based at the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
This network allows pioneering clinical trials of blood cancer to run at our centre ensuring we can give our patients the best possible options for their form of blood cancer.
Without Cure Leukaemia's funding, these trials would not run and patients would miss out on these treatments. That is why we are raising funds for this charity by supporting the We Will campaign.
With more support for Cure Leukaemia, we will fund more nurses in more cities in the UK, we will run more clinical trials, we will give more blood cancer patients hope, we will find a cure. Help Cure Leukaemia fund more specialist research nurses.
