What have I done? One minute I was doing a Couch to 5k, the next I'd accidentally signed up to run a marathon! What on earth was I thinking?! 

Still, a few hours of huffing and puffing isn't anywhere near as traumatic as what human rights defenders around the world face every single day. If they can put their lives at risk to stand up for others, then I can put one foot in front of the other for 26 miles. Right?! Yes!  (Blimey, I do hope so!)

Please help keep me plodding by donating whatever you can afford. All the money raised will go to women who have been arrested, tortured, jailed or exiled because they stood up for what they believed in, via the excellent charity Prisoners of Conscience.
