Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Anyone who knows me and my mum, knows that we're not athletes, and so running a marathon or climbing a mountain are perhaps a bit out of reach. However, we still want to do our bit for the Alzheimer's Society by taking part in the 10k Memory Walk this September.

We saw first hand through my Grandad and my mum's father, Harold Hicks, how awful this disease is. It may not take your life directly, but it destroys it, taking away parts of that person that you know and love bit by bit.

So we are walking in memory of one of the sweetest men to have ever walked the planet, and also with a close family friend in mind who is currently living with Alzheimer's.

Please give what you can so that we can continue towards finding a cure for this evil disease.

With thanks and love,

Becky and Debbie
