Story
At the beginning of 2016 I embarked on a weight loss challenge and decided to raise money for an amazing cause at the same time.
Many of my friends pledged money based on how many pounds I lost.
I haven't lost as much as I originally wanted to. However my priorities changed as the year went on and it became more important to me to be fitter and stronger than worry about the scales.
I have been training with a body builder twice a week to build muscle and strength as well as my skating training twice a week.
It's not been easy at times and the weight has gone up and down at times particularly at holiday time and birthday weekend. However despite everything I am still 30lbs lighter than I was in January.
Started at 16st 11lbs and ended at 14st 9lbs.
Not that it's the end for me - I intend to continue to reduce my weight improve my strength and fitness heading into 2017. I'm just not in any rush.
For those people who made pledges at the beginning of the year if you could pay via this page that would be awesome.
For anyone who was not aware of my challenge but would now like to donate - any donations would be most gratefully received by Hull Homeless Community Project.
