On the 26th Decemeber 2015 after a fun day at the panto I bathed my girls and put them both to bed like normal. Daisy woke a few hours later complaining of a headache, 2 hours later we were being rushed to Glan Glwyd. After a scan which showed a huge aneurysm Daisy was rushed to Alder hay where she was met by a team of surgeons. Daisy was put in a coma which is how she stayed for 3 days when sadly the decision had to be made to turn of Daisy's life support machine. The staff at Alder Hey were amazing, the support they gave to myself and our family was incredible. We spent 3 days at the hospital speaking with different Drs and nurses, answering questions we all asked 100 times but made you feel like it was the first time. Daisy had 24hr care, I don't think I'll ever be able to thank the staff enough for the support they gave during this time and after. Daisy was not just one in a million to me but also medicinally, there is so little that can be done to advice people. Instead we are raising money for Alder hey so they can continue to carry out research and support families when it's needed the most.xx
