Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

As most of our friends and family will know, both Baxter and Pip were rescue sausages from the charity The Red Foundation.

They were set up in 2017 after rescuing one dog “Red” who captured their hearts and  inspired them to do more. They now work UK wide to ensure the safety, love and care of all Dachshunds that are surrendered to them. Their dedication and hard work has resulted in hundreds of doggies being placed in their forever homes.

Sadly, in some cases doggies have very specific needs or conditions that require them to go through treatment and surgery before being rehomed. The most common condition that daxies are prone to is IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) which can in severe cases cause paralysis. The charity pay for treatment of this, sometimes with vet bills exceeding £7,000-£10,000 plus after care and rehabilitation costs.

As a charity they rely very much on donations which is why I signed up to their VIP100 initiative which involves 100 of the charity’s members to raise £100 each for Christmas.

If you are able to spare anything at all to help these babies, we would be eternally grateful. The charity has enabled us to have two precious babies that have brought us happiness every day since, we would just like to give back and ensure their wonderful work continues.

Thank you x x x
