Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sarah who you may recognise from our social media and Emma and Harlee both members of the kennel team have agreed to be a dog for a night and sleep in a kennel at the Freedom of Spirit Trust for Border Collies to help raise some money towards purchasing a property that is due to come on the market and is perfect.

We are ambitious with our fundraising target and would love to meet or smash it so please be generous as we will be sleeping on the kennel floors for the night.

There is also a lot of dogs due to come in before then so we may even end up sharing our kennel with Fred one of the dogs who works there helping to settle the rescue dogs. Poor Fred won’t know what’s happened having to share his bedroom with the 3 of us.

We will be planning to do some live updates on the Facebook page during our sleepover.

Expansion info:

FOSTBC – expanding the Trust
As supporters of FOSTBC you will know that for some time we have been working towards our dream of expanding the work of the Trust. We have now found the ideal property to purchase and looking forward to being able to realise this dream. As the property is not as yet officially on the market we cannot give you the exact location but we can tell you that it is in easy access for our team and for our vets. If we go ahead we will be able to have many more bespoke kennels for specialist needs, undercover all weather training facility, additional high fenced exercise areas, increased facilities for behavioural training, a peace garden, a shop and so much more.
We need your help to realise this dream - can you help us hit our £308,149 target by the end of August to secure the purchase of the property? Any fundraising you do big or small will help. We will be promoting fundraising events and ideas, but we need your help in achieving our fundraising target.
Please share as the more people we have helping us the sooner we can reach our target.

Now for the serious bit: Fred will love having us share his kennel if it is needed, he will feel very important and not be worried at all. All dogs who are in the same kennel block will also be carefully chosen to make sure that we do not cause any problems with any of the dogs. They will also be carefully monitored by the kennel team to ensure that we do not upset their routines.
