My Grandma (a 93 year old icon) has signed up to abseil the Etihad stadium on 10th July! Never one to shy away from a challenge, when Man City released this event to raise money for their City in the Community charity, she jumped at the chance.

For her 90th birthday, she chose to do the ZipWire adventure in Wales. As their oldest ever participant, they created the hashtag #BeMoreMargaret in her honour on their social media. Grandma enjoyed it so much, she was back to do it again 8 months later! That same weekend, she went on a hot air balloon ride with me and Mum in the Lake District.

I am so proud of her adventurous spirit & will be joining her on the abseil. I am terrified of heights but if Grandma’s doing it then how could I not!?

Her only reservation was the fundraising limits that we need to meet- unsure that enough people would want to sponsor her. Somehow I can’t see that being a problem..!!
