Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There is a real buzz in the village of Barley in rural North Hertfordshire. The villagers have been very imaginative and creative and have knitted, crocheted and stitched an amazing 1452 flowers to make the Barley Flower Tower.
When the community challenge was launched in early March this year in the midst of what felt like a never ending lock down, we needed a project to focus on and to make us smile.
Now the 15m tall Church Tower looks fabulous draped with flowers.
The flower tower has become the focal point of the Churches fundraising campaign:
“A vision to maintain our beautiful church as a space for the whole village. To do this we need to improve access for all, provide kitchen and toilet facilities, and enable a more welcoming building for
all to enjoy community functions as well as an exciting place for worship”
The Church is a brilliant space which is currently underused and the existing facilities consist of an outside tap!
Our target is for £10 for each flower on the tower, that is £14520. Please help us reach it.
