This hospice meant the final 3 days of mum’s life were spent in dignity and peace, it gave us as a family time and space, away from hospital chaos and machinery. The children were allowed to visit. Without the hospice facility mum would have ended her days in the L&D hospital and sadly with NHS care packages in short supply dying at home is a difficult option to navigate.
We are truly grateful to St Francis and wish to help other families experience their goodbyes in a place that feels like home but is safe and respectful to their patients.
