I'm raising money for the Alzheimer's Society in memory of my much-loved mother. My daughter, Hannah, and I had already planned to do this walk before Mummy died in May 2012, but it will now be all the more poignant. We are going to visit all the places that Mummy lived in for the last 58 years (excluding Spain!) as we walk the South-West Coast Path from Brixham to Lyme Regis - with a side trip up the River Exe to Exeter.

The Society provided me with vital information when I was battling with the health authorities to get Mummy diagnosed, and, having seen the emotional and physical impact of this disease on someone so very close to me, I am determined to raise as much as I can for research into the best care and treatment in particular.
