I was diagnosed with breast cancer August 2010 and had already intended to do the GNR in Sept. that year. I was determined to take part and duly completed the race and started my cancer treatment in Dec. that year. Following two operations, chemo and radio therapy, I started the long road to recovery finishing my Herceptin course in April 2012. Completed the GNR Sept. 2012 (slowly) but hope to do a better time this year.
